Rowland Hill Nursery School & Children's Centre

Professional Referrals

The aim of the community team is to work with all the children aged 0-5 years who live within our reach area so we can help them to obtain the best possible start in life. The children centre team are happy to receive referrals from professionals working with families with children within this age range.

Rowland Hill is part of the of the North East Locality and mostly covers the White Hart Lane ward and some areas in Wood Green.

The core purpose of children’s centres are to improve outcomes for young children and their families and reduce inequalities between families in greatest need and their peers in:

  • Child development and school readiness
  • Parenting aspirations and parenting skills
  • Child and family health and life chances.

Our services also support parents and carers to build networks within their community to prevent isolation.

We have a large range of services running from our centre:

  • Midwifery appointments
  • Baby Stay and Play groups
  • Baby Massage
  • New Parents group (for babies under 6 months old)
